Orthopeadic Assessments

• Detailed history on the current injury, previous injuries and participating activities
• Total body observations and Gait Analysis- observing mechanics, muscle tone and coordination, foot function
• Test the joints above and below the lesion site to rule out their involvement in the injury
• Functional Assessment- Test the active, passive, and resisted movement of the joint involved
• Special Testing- specific tests will be performed to identify the exact problem and condition

Rehabilitation

• Will incorporate manual therapy, therapeutic modalities with physical reconditioning
• All rehabilitation programs will be aimed towards the individuals’ daily activities or sport participation
• Rehabilitation tools will be incorporated as progress is made to ensure a gradual but aggressive and active approach to rehabilitation
• Supportive taping techniques or bracing consultation is available to promote optimal healing in preparing the client to a safe return to their activity
