Andrea Takahashi, CAT(C), D.O.M.P.
Andrea attended the University of Guelph taking a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics with a minor in psychology. Following university she continued to pursue her interest in sports medicine by completing the Sports Injury Management programme at Sheridan College to become a Certified Athletic Therapist. She was employed at York University for 5 years where she worked with national and provincial athletes, as well as university varsity athletes, staff, students and active community members.
Furthering her skills and continuing education Andrea enrolled at the Canadian College of Osteopathy where she completed her osteopathic diploma and thesis. She joined the OSMC team in 1998 and enjoys working with a varied clientele ranging in age from infant to seniors. She continues to take courses related to Athletic Therapy and Osteopathic Manual Therapy to enhance her treatment skills and knowledge base.
Andrea has worked with athletes participating in many varieties of sports from elite Olympic to community. She specifically enjoyed working with the women’s provincial and national teams in both rugby and soccer as their team therapist.
